Reviews

Reading reviews is a great way to learn more about each other and the different properties on our platform. Each review left by a host or guest should be authentic and unbiased. When a stay is completed, both the guest and host will have the opportunity to review their overall experience. You will have 14 days to submit your review. Users will not be able to see each other’s reviews until after the 14 day period.

House Rules

Hosts have the ability to set house rules for their property. These rules can vary from whether pets are allowed, whether events are allowed, the maximum occupancy for a property, and more. Guests must read and accept the house rules prior to booking their stay.

Reporting Misconduct

If misconduct occurs, you should first communicate with your guest or host. This is often the most effective way to resolve issues. We ask that you document the issue as well and contact our team through our Help Center. We will investigate all reported matters thoroughly. In any case of emergency, please contact the local authorities immediately.

Authenticity

All users are required to provide a government issued ID to verify their identity. We encourage everyone to read reviews, view profiles, and message each other prior to a stay to familiarize themselves with one another. Providing accurate information is crucial to create a community where guests and hosts feel safe and confident when interacting with each other.

Renting Responsibly

We advise all users, whether renting or hosting, to follow all local laws and ordinances. Hosts should stay up to date on regulations in the area they are hosting in. Everyone should be considerate of the neighborhood they are staying in and act in a respectful manner. We do not tolerate any unauthorized events at properties.

Our payment processor utilizes industry leading technology to protect payments between guests and hosts. We have partnered with a certified PCI Provider Level 1 to ensure that all transactions and stored payment information is secure.

General Platform Security

BidBookStay.com was created with the best-in-class technology that meets the highest level of security and data encryption standards. We understand the importance of protecting your personal information online. That is why we have partnered with Amazon Web Services to ensure the proper infrastructure is in place to keep your personal account information safe.

Safety

Property Access

The safety and security of our users is the top priority at BidBookStay. To ensure guest and property safety, we encourage hosts to implement industry best practices when granting guests access to their property.

For delivering keys to guests, it is against policy to leave the key in a public place where the host themselves or a property manager/representative is not present. Leaving keys with someone not associated with the rental property or in a location that is not the property itself/rental office is strictly prohibited.

When using an access code, it is required that the host change or generate a new code for each reservation to ensure the security of their property and guests. We reserve the right to remove anyone from our platform who has violated these policies.

Communication

Our users should always communicate directly through our secure messaging platform. This will help keep guests and hosts safe from scam attempts or fraudulent activity.

Home Safety

We advise all parties to do walkthroughs of the properties they are hosting or renting to ensure proper safety measures are in place. It is important to have safety essentials in the property such as first aid kits, fire extinguishers, fire/carbon monoxide alarms, proper door locks, and other emergency equipment. It is policy to disclose any monitoring devices in the home. If you have any concerns on the safety of the property, please contact the host immediately. You can also reach BidBookStay support through our Help Center. In case of emergencies, please contact the appropriate local authorities.

Cleanliness

To help keep all parties safe, we recommend following cleaning guidelines set forth by the World Health Organization prior to and after each stay. Local health regulations should also be followed to protect guests and host alike.

Hosts should provide a detailed and accurate description of all accessibility features the property offers. All guests should feel accommodated during their stays and should reach out to hosts if they have specific questions about their accessibility needs. We also require hosts to allow the use of certified service animals, regardless of pet policy.
